James T. Bunk

James T. Bunk, 60, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Care One in Holmdel.  James was born on September 16, 1958 in Newark, New Jersey and grew up in Bloomfield.  On October 8, 1983, James and his wife, Donna, were married and began their lives together.  They settled in Hazlet, New Jersey to raise their family.  For many years, James worked as an Auto Technician for Straub Motors in Keyport.  He was a beloved husband, son, father,  brother and friend to all who knew and loved him.

He was predeceased by his father, Harry Bunk.  James is survived by his adoring mother, Genevieve Bunk, his beloved wife of 35 years, Donna L. (Jones) Bunk, his loving children, James C. Bunk of Hazlet, and Christie Johnson and her husband, Jonathon, of Hazlet, and his dear siblings, Fred Bunk and his wife, Dawn, of Parsippany, Kathleen Rowe and her husband, Ron, of Watchung, Brian Bunk and his wife, Tonilyn, of Scotch Plains, and Peter Bunk and his wife, Kelly, of Hackettstown.  James is also survived by his cherished granddaughter, Adrianna Johnson, his mother-in-law, Marianne Jones of Ledgewood, his father-in-law, David Jones and his wife, Roberta, of Raleigh, North Carolina, and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, David and Debbie Jones of Ledgewood, and Stacey and Vence Boone of Youngsville, North Carolina, along with many treasured nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.  James will be greatly missed, but never forgotten

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, November 5, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Tuesday morning, November 6, 2018 from 8:15 to 9:00 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday morning, November 6, 2018 at 9:30 AM at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 727 Highway 36, Union Beach, New Jersey 07735.  In respect of his family's wishes, James will be privately cremated.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
