Howard C. Rumpeltin Jr., 41, fondly known as “Howie”, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at Villa Marie Claire in Saddle River. Howie was born on December 8, 1978 in Hackensack and grew up in Lyndhurst. When Howie was 20 years old, he settled in the Cliffwood Beach/Keyport area. Growing up, Howie loved to play roller hockey and ride his scooter. As an adult, Howie worked as a Landscaper for Brightview Landscaping. He was also a devout communicant of Hazlet Bible Church for many years. He enjoyed camping with his friends and loved to fish on his kayak. Most of all, Howie was a loving son, grandson, brother, uncle and friend.
Howie is survived by his beloved parents, Howard C. Rumpeltin and Darcel Hansen and her husband, Eric, his loving sisters, Desiree Pilatos and her husband, John, and Dana Marino and her husband, Patrick, along with his nieces and nephew, Aidan, Emma, Kyla and Lena, his adoring grandmother, Adeline DiBella, and his cherished four-legged friend, Chloe. Howie will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, January 6, 2020 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM and Tuesday morning, January 7, 2020 from 9:30 to 10:15 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home on Tuesday morning, January 7, 2020 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, 742 Rutherford Ave, Lyndhurst, NJ 07071.
