Helen (Villas) Marques

Helen Marques, 90, of Whiting, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday morning, March 12, 2018.  She was born Helen Villas on May 21, 1927 in Newark, New Jersey, where she was raised.  After marrying the love of her life, Joseph, they settled in North Arlington, New Jersey to raise their family.  In 1990, Helen and Joseph retired to Whiting, New Jersey.  As a young adult, Helen attended and received her degree from Drake Business School.  She also worked for RCA for 30 years before her retirement.

She was predeceased by her mother, Madeline Villas.  Helen is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 67 years, Jose "Joseph" Marques, her loving sons, Glenn Marques and his wife, Audrey, of Belleville, Illinois, and Joseph Marques and his wife, Diana, of Hazlet, New Jersey, her cherished grandchildren, Michael Marques and his fiancé, Rachel, Elizabeth Seitz and her husband, Brian, Melissa Marques, and Miranda Marques, her nieces, Christina Marques and Stephanie Cartagena both of Florida and her adored great grandchildren, Elena, Lincoln, Autumn, and Summer, along with a great grandson on the way.  Helen will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home during visitation hours.  In respect of Helen's wishes, she will be privately cremated.
