Harry M. Friedman, 92, of Matawan, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2019. Harry was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was an honorable veteran of the United States Army and served during World War II in Germany. After his return, he married Evelyn Johnson and had three beautiful daughters. Harry was a fund manager and investment advisor of his firm, Madison Management. He later taught mathematics and finance at various universities, including the University of Wisconsin, University of Chicago, UCLA, UCSB, New York University’s Stern Graduate School of Business, as well as abroad in Iran, Japan, Poland, and on an academic ship. He enjoyed traveling and visited over 137 countries, often teaching where he went.
Harry is predeceased by his parents Jacob and Rose Friedman, his sister Trudi Kazlov, and his sister Ginka Cohn. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Fran Thomas, his daughters Dr. Lynn Bernot, and her husband Steve, Dr. Kim Scott, and her husband Norman, Jan Friedman Esq, and his grandchildren Erin Bernot, Adam Bernot, and James Bowers. Harry will be forever missed, and never forgotten.
