Filomena "Minnie" R. (Rucci) Celestina

Filomena "Minnie"  R. Celestina, 81 of Middletown, New Jersey, passed away surrounded by her loving family on August 15, 2018 at home.  She was born Filomena  Rucci in Staten Island, New York on June 29, 1937.  She graduated St John Villa Academy, Staten Island, New York in 1956.  Minnie was an active member of the Parent Teacher Association and member of the Minisink Community Organization of Middletown, New Jersey. Minnie loved to travel and was a cooking enthusiast with extensive knowledge of cooking.          

Filomena was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Anna (Piscitelli) Rucci. She is survived by her beloved husband, David P. Celestina, her loving children, Craig Celestina and his wife, Joyce, of Demarest, New Jersey and Nancy D’Andrea and her husband, Joseph, of Basking Ridge, New Jersey, and her cherished grandchildren, Danny and Becky Celestina and Lex D’Andrea. Filomena will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM and Saturday morning from 7:45 AM to 8:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 9:15 AM at St. Catharine’s R.C. Church, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum, 900 Holmdel Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.
