Evelyn G. Brand

Evelyn G. Brand, 89, of Hazlet, New Jersey passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018 in the comfort of her home. Evelyn was born on June 12, 1929 in Newark, New Jersey. before moving to Hazlet, New Jersey in 1972.  Evelyn was a lively soul who loved dancing, knitting and gardening.  She was also an active member of her senior community and enjoyed being with her friends and family.

Evelyn is predeceased by her dear parents, Charles and Rose (Leanza) Crecco, and her beloved husband, John J. Brand and her dear son, John Keith Brand. Evelyn is survived by her loving children, Kim R. DeVito and her husband Tony of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Lisa Sclavunos and her husband, Jon, of Hazlet, New Jersey, her daughter-in-law, Cindy, her dear siblings, Louise Scaglione and her husband Paul, John Crecco and his wife, Marion, Frank Crecco and his wife, Ann, her cherished grandchildren, Jennifer and Kristen Brand, T.J., Rutger, and Christiana DeVito, Nicholas and Justin Sclavunos, and her adored great-grandchild, Anthony DeVito. Evelyn will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM and Monday morning July 16, 2018 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home on Sunday evening, July 15, 2018 during visiting hours.  Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum, 1500 Stuyvesant Avenue, Union New Jersey 07083. For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
