Eileen M. (Murphy) Prospero

Eileen M. Prospero, 87, of Holmdel, New Jersey passed away peacefully on January 7, 2020.  She was born Eileen Murphy on April 23, 1932 in Jersey City, New Jersey. She grew up in Union City and in 1959 settled in Secaucus  where she raised her family. In 1994 she moved to Bayville and in 2013 to Berkeley Township and Holmdel,  New Jersey in 2018. She was a retired Administrative assistant for Hudson County, New Jersey..

She was predeceased by her parents George and Margaret Davern Murphy and her sister in law Lois Murphy.  Eileen is survived by beloved sons,  Stephen N. Prospero and his wife Arlene of Middletown, New Jersey, Michael Prospero and his wife Edna of Manchester, New Jersey, Robert Prospero and his wife Robin of N. Arlington, New Jersey, Richard Prospero and his wife Lisa of Woodland Park, New Jersey, her loving grandchildren Anthony Prospero, Gina Ballesteros, Bernadette Morse, Christina Liptak, Danielle Prospero, Nicholas Prospero, Lucas Prospero, Jack Prospero, her cherished great grandchildren Lily and Maya Ballesteros and her dear brother George Murphy.  Eileen is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  She will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 4:00 to 8:00 at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday morning, January 11, 2020, at 9:30 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe Roman Catholic Church, 130 St. Maximilian Lane, Toms River, New Jersey 08757.  Entombment will follow at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, Christ The King Mausoleum, Toms River, New Jersey 08757. For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
