Dr. Thomas William Mell Jr., 33, of Brooklyn, New York formerly of Hazlet, New Jersey passed away suddenly on September 14, 2018. Tommy was born on May 17, 1985 in Red Bank, New Jersey and grew up in Hazlet. On May 14, 2016 Tommy and his wife, Kacie, were married and started their life together in Brooklyn, New York. Tommy was an Anesthesiologist at JFK Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey.
Tom loved to travel the world, camp, hike, all things Disney, being with his wife, family, and friends, and most of all spending time with his young son, Maximus “Munchie” Mell, whom he doted on and loved more than anything.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kacie McFarland, his adored son, Maximus William Mell, his loving parents, Thomas William Mell Sr. and Ruth (Hart) Mell, his dear brother, Chris Mell and his wife, Dana of Union Beach, and his cherished sister, Jamie Baker and her husband, Michael, of Hazlet, New Jersey. He is also survived by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Randi Christine and Emerson Lee McFarland and his brother-in-law, William Emerson McFarland. Thomas also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends. Tommy will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
Family and Friends are invited to visit Tuesday, September 18th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Wednesday morning, September 19th from 8:45 to 9:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday morning, September 19th at 10:15 AM at The Catholic Church of St. Ann, 311 Carr Ave, Keansburg, New Jersey 07734. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 456 Highway 35 South, Middletown/Red Bank, New Jersey 07748.
