Donna Elizabeth Drower McDermott

Donna Elizabeth Drower McDermott, 52, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel.   She was born Donna McDermott on April 11, 1966 in Trenton, New Jersey and grew up and lived her entire life in Hazlet, New Jersey.  Donna was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, sister, grandmother and friend, but most importantly, she was an incredible mother to her five adored children.

She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Dolores (Ferris) McDermott.  Donna is survived by her beloved husband of 31 years, James E. Drower, her loving children, Jonathan McDermott, Jennifer Hoagland, Kimberly Hoagland, Ashley (Hoagland) Watts and her husband, Thomas, and Paige Drower and her long-time boyfriend, Grant Novak.  Donna is also survived by her dear brother, Douglas McDermott, her life-long best friend, Felicia Bruno, her mother-in-law, Carol Shenkel, her brother-in-law, Mike Drower and her cherished grandchildren, Thomas Watts, Tyler Watts, Emma Watts, Elizabeth McDermott, Aidon McDermott, and Amanda Cavanaugh.  Donna will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, October 5, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Saturday morning, October 6, 2018 from 8:45 to 9:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.  Interment will follow at Shoreland Memorial Gardens Cemetery, State Highway/Route 35, Hazlet, New Jersey.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
