Donna Colgan-Arena

Donna Colgan-Arena, 60, of Staten Island, New York, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday morning, January 8, 2018 at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan, New York.  She was born Donna Colgan on February 9, 1957 in Brooklyn, New York, where she grew up.  On April 26, 1980, Donna and her husband, John, were married and began their lives together in Brooklyn.  Shortly after in 1984, they settled in Staten Island to raise their family.

She was predeceased by her parents, Ronald and Mary (Alexander) Colgan.  Donna is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 37 years, John J. Arena, her loving children, Danielle Arena-Jacobsen and her husband, Sean, of Staten Island, New York, and Joseph J. Arena and his girlfriend, Bianca Russo, her cherished grandson, John Alexander Jacobsen,  her dear brother, Ronald Colgan and his wife, Nancy, of Goshen, New York, along with her adored brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gary Arena and his wife, Fran, and Joann Russo and her husband, Giacomo, and many special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  Donna will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM, Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM and Friday morning, January 12, 2018 from 9:45 to 10:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday morning, January 12, 2018 at 11:30 AM at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 5411 Amboy Road, Staten Island, New York 10312.  Interment will follow at the Cemetery of the Resurrection, 361 Sharrott Avenue, Staten Island, New York 10309.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
