Donald M. Leidy Jr.

Donald M. Leidy, Jr., 66, of Matawan passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019 while awaiting the gift of life.  As in life, Don will carry on his love of helping others in his death through The Sharing Network and medical research. 

Don was born on April 2, 1953 in Cape May Courthouse, New Jersey.  After marriage, Don and his wife Debbie, settled in Matawan, New Jersey, where they raised their family.  Before retirement, he worked as a Chemical Operator for International Flavors and Fragrances (IFF) in Hazlet, New Jersey for many years.  Don was a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather and was greatly loved by all who knew him.

Don was predeceased by his parents, Ruth (Gotwols) and Donald M. Leidy Sr., his brother, Allen Pierce, and his brother-in-law, Sandy.  He is survived by his devoted wife, Debbie (Linde) Leidy, his loving daughters, Jessica Cronin and her husband Dan of Freehold, New Jersey, and Janelle Brenner and her husband Josh of Old Bridge, New Jersey, and his sisters, Ruth Sanders and Debra Leidy, along with his sister-in-law, Cathy Pierce and his cherished grandchildren, Sean, Morgan, Katelyn and Averi, as well as an abundance of loving friends and family. 

Arrangements were entrusted to the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  In respect of Don's wishes, he will be privately cremated.  A celebration of Don’s life will be held on Sunday, June 16th at 2:00 pm at the Leidy residence.  In lieu of flowers, please consider becoming an organ donor.  For information or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
