Diane (Walsh) Larsen

Diane Larsen, 44, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away on November 17, 2017.  She was born Diane Walsh on June 9, 1973 in Long Branch, New Jersey and grew up in Keyport, New Jersey.  In 2005, she settled in Hazlet, New Jersey and on October 14, 2006, Diane and her husband, James, were married and began their life together. 

She was predeceased by her father, Harry Walsh, and her step-father, Ron Ely.  Diane is survived by her devoted husband of 11 years, James K. Larsen, her beloved son, Rainer Larsen, her adoring mother, Dolores Ely, and her dear siblings, Donna Walsh of Hazlet, New Jersey, Melissa Ely of Keyport, New Jersey, Elizabeth Ely of Keyport, New Jersey, Richard Sheppard and his wife, Maureen, Hypoluxo, Florida, Robert Sheppard and his wife, Mary Chris, of Littleton, New Hampshire, and Raymond Sheppard of Wall, New Jersey.  She is also survived by her father-in-law, Lawrence Larsen and his wife, Margaret, of Hazlet, New Jersey, her step-mother, Elaine Walsh of Hypoluxo, Florida, her cherished god-daughter, Colby Thorpe and her husband, Patrick Thorpe, as well as her treasured nieces and nephews who were like children to Diane, Colby (her god-daughter), Morgan, Zachary, and George, and many special nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.  Diane will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home during visitation hours at approximately 7:30 PM.  In respect of her family's wishes, Diane will be privately cremated.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
