Cruz "Mike" Suarez

Cruz Suarez, 71, of Hazlet, New Jersey, fondly known as Mike passed away peacefully at Madison Center in Matawan surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, January 4, 2018.  Mike was born on May 3, 1946 in Corozal, Puerto Rico, grew up in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Hazlet, New Jersey in 2011. Before retirement, Mike worked for the Sanitation Department in New York City. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Iris Cruz. Mike is survived by his loving children, Robert Reyes and his wife, Marie of Hazlet, New Jersey, Roxanne Cruz and her husband, Albert of Hazlet, NewJersey and Rosemarie Sicuranza and her husband, Gregory of Aberdeen, New Jersey. Mike also leaves behind his cherished  grandchildren, Robert Reyes, Vanessa Cruz, Jonathan Reyes, Gabrielle Cruz, Alyssa Cruz, Andrea Reyes and Isaiah Reyes, as well as 3 great grandchildren, Noah Reyes, Gisselle Cruz and Evan Reyes. Mike will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, January 7, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Monday morning, January 8, 2018 from 10:15 AM to 11 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home during visitation hours.
