Charles Rizzie 91, of Middletown, New Jersey, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Laurel Bay Rehab Center in Keansburg, New Jersey. Charles was born on July 13, 1927 in Newark, New Jersey, where he resided until 1960 when he moved to Hazlet, New Jersey. He moved to Middletown, New Jersey in 2012. Before retirement, he worked for many years as a Teletype Repair Man for Western Electric Company in Union, New Jersey. He was also a proud World War II Navy Veteran and a member of the VFW #4303, Hazlet, New Jersey.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Marie (Moise) Rizzie and his beloved wife, Josephine (Viglioglia) Rizzie. Charles is survived by his loving children, Lynn Knapp and her husband, William of Matawan, New Jersey, Charles Rizzie and his spouse, Joseph Cinque of Ocean, New Jersey, and Tracy Burke and her companion, Gordon, his dear sister, Jean Spagnoletti and her husband Pat, his cherished grandchildren, Robert, Megan and Kristen Burke, and his adored great-grandchild Madeline Meyer. Charles will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. In respect of his family's wishes, Charles will be privately cremated. Burial of his cremains will take place at a later date at the Brigadier General William C.
