Caroline "Carol" McKenzie

Caroline “Carol” McKenzie of Toms River, New Jersey, passed away surrounded by her loving family on January 9, 2019 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was born Carol Bricese in South River, New Jersey on May 24, 1939. Carol grew up in Brooklyn, New York where she raised her family and in 1990 she retired to Toms River, New Jersey.

Carol was predeceased by her parents, Pasquale and Rose (Giraffa) Bricese, her beloved husband, James McKenzie and her dear siblings, James, Louis, Lorraine and Filomena. She is survived by her loving children, Donna McKenzie D’Amico and her husband, William, of Hazlet, New Jersey, James S McKenzie Jr. and his wife, Laura, of Hazlet, New Jersey, and Robert McKenzie and his wife, Patricia, of California. Carol also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Cyndi McKenzie, James McKenzie III and Melissa, Mulan McKenzie and Thomas McKenzie and her 2 adored great grandchildren, Lorelai and Mackenzie, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten. 

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 12:00 to 4:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A prayer service will be offered at approximately 2:00 PM during the visitation hours. In respect of Carol’s wishes she will be privately cremated.
