Carol A. (Montemarano) Byrne

    Carol A. Byrne, 74, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Care One in Holmdel, New Jersey.  She was born Carol A. Montemarano on April 28, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York, where she was raised.  On April 17, 1971, Carol and her husband, Michael, were married and began their life together in Staten Island, New York.  Shortly after in 1974, they settled in Hazlet, New Jersey to raise their family.  For many years before retirement, Carol worked as a Operations Manager for a Real Estate Construction Company.

    She was predeceased by her parents, Vincent James and Blanche (Selkowitz) Montemarano.  Carol is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 46 years, Michael J. Byrne, and her loving children, Andrew J. Byrne and his wife, Heidi Rosenberg, of Manhattan, New York, Christine Zambito and her husband, Michael, of Cranford, New Jersey, and James M. Byrne and his wife, Trisha Medina, of Weehawken, New Jersey.  She is also survived by her dear sister, Pauline Civettini and her husband, Robert, and her cherished grandchildren, Melissa Lukacz, Stephanie Byrne, Jack Zambito, and Kate Zambito.  She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

    Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Monday morning, June 5, 2017 from 9:15 to 10:00 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday morning, June 5, 2017 at 10:30 AM at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 360 Broadway, Keyport, New Jersey 07735.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
