Carmella (Valentino) Miele

    Carmella Miele (Valentino), 76, of Holmdel, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2017 with her family by her side.  Carmella was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, lived in Iselin and Matawan, before settling in Holmdel, New Jersey.  Carmella was very proud of her family.  She loved holidays and family get-together's; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her.  She was known for her feisty, yet good sense of humor.  She also loved her friends and will be missed dearly by everyone.  Carmella was very active at St. Joseph's Church in Keyport, where she proudly served as a Eucharistic Minister.  She also served on the Pre-Cana team and loved organizing and participating in many functions for the church.

     She was predeceased by her son, Nicholas (d. 2001), son-in-law, John (D. 2001), and sister, Marie (d. 2016).  Carmella is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Nicholas, and her loving children, Joseph of Matawan, New Jersey, Theresa and her husband, Jeff, of New Egypt, New Jersey, and Melanie of Morganville, New Jersey.  She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Margaret of Matawan, New Jersey, her cherished grandchildren, Nicholas and his wife, Carla, Anthony, Christopher, and Emily, and her dear sister, Maryann, along with many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.  Carmella will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

     Arrangements were entrusted to the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North,Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday morning, September 30, 2017 at 9:30 AM at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 376 Maple Place, Keyport, New Jersey 07735.  Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 360 Broadway, Keyport, New Jersey 07735.  In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Carmella to St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church would be greatly appreciated.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
