Bruce Turner

Bruce Turner, 61, of South Amboy, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, New Jersey.  Bruce was born on January 7, 1957 in Ridgewood, New Jersey and grew up in Allendale.  On September 29, 1990, Bruce and his wife, Cindy, were married and began their lives together in Union, New Jersey.  Shortly after the birth of their second daughter, they settled in South Amboy to raise their family.  Bruce worked as a Contractor for many years and in 2001 began his own contracting company, Turner Home Maintenance.

He was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Dorothy (VanBuskirk) Turner.  Bruce is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 27 years, Cindy (Komick) Turner, his loving daughters, Kali and Candace Turner of South Amboy, New Jersey, his dear brothers, Robert L. Turner and his wife, Marsha, of Ringwood, New Jersey, and Rich Turner of Allendale, New Jersey, along with many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and one nephew, and his special "furry friends", his cats, Jitterbug, Ringo, and Milo.  Bruce will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Saturday morning, January 13, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM with a service beginning at approximately 10:15 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  In respect of Bruce's wishes, he will be privately cremated.  The Turner family would like to give a special "Thank you" to all the staff at Hackensack University Medical Center, 5PW Oncology Unit, for the compassion, kindness, love and the wonderful care they provided to Bruce during his time at the hospital.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to The Hackensack UMC Foundation in loving memory of Bruce Turner.
