Bernice O'Shea

Bernice O’Shea, 76, of Cliffwood Beach, New Jersey, passed away at Bayshore Hospital on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Bernice  was born on March 31, 1943 in Perth Amboy. She moved to Matawan, New Jersey in 1965 before settling in Cliffwood Beach in 1968 where she raised her family. Bernice was a Homemaker and loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

Bernice was predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth (Padykula) and Andrew Hodovance, and her son, John W. O’Shea, Jr.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, John W. O’Shea, Sr., her loving daughter, Lisa Grisley and her loving son-in-law, Ron, of Dayton, New Jersey, her dear daughter-in-law, Janine O’Shea, her cherished grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Grisley, Jordyn and Justin O’Shea, her caring sister, Joanne Scofield and her husband Michael and her dear nephew, Michael Scofield and niece, Kate Scofield.  Bernice is also survived by many extended family members and special friends. Bernice will be deeply missed, and never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, August 18, 2019 from 2 PM to 6 PM and Monday morning, August 19, 2019 from 9:45 AM to 10:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday morning, August 19, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Church/ Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, 376 Maple Pl, Keyport, NJ 07735.  Burial to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 360 Broadway, Keyport, New Jersey 07735.
