Barbara L. Brockie

Barbara L. Brockie, 86, of Keyport, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, June 17, 2018 at Bayside Manor in Keansburg, New Jersey.  She was born Barbara Lambertson on July 1, 1931 in Long Branch, New Jersey and grew up in Keyport, New Jersey, where she raised her family and has lived her entire life.  Over the years, Barbara has been a devout parishioner of St. John's United Methodist Church.  She was very involved in all church activities, as well as holding the title of Treasurer for many years.  Barbara was also a member of the Liberty Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary in Keyport and the St. Clement Senior Center in Matawan.  She was a loving, caring woman with a quirky personality and was a friend to everyone she met.  One of her favorite ways things to do was spend time in Atlantic City.

She was predeceased by her parents, William and Hattie (Kithchart) Lambertson and her beloved husband, William W. Brockie.  Barbara is survived by her loving children, Suzanne Ryan and her husband, Christopher Johnston, and Paul Brockie and his wife, Jaime, along with her cherished grandson, Justin Ryan and his fiance, Dorothy Dobkowski, and many adored friends.  Barbara will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/ Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A church service will be offered on Thursday morning, June 21, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. John's United Methodist Church, 2000 Florence Avenue, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  Interment will follow at Shoreland Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Hazlet.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
