Arnoldo Valentin

Arnoldo Valentin, 77, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, New Jersey.  Arnoldo was born on July 17, 1940 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico and as a child in 1945, moved to Brooklyn, New York with his family.  In 1962, Arnoldo relocated to Jersey City, New Jersey, where he met his wife, Divina.  They were married on April 25, 1964 and began their lives together in Jersey City, where they also raised their family.  In 1995, they settled in Hazlet, New Jersey. 

He was predeceased by his parents, Juan and Monserrate (Soto) Valentin and his siblings, Lucy Cruz, Gladys Caraballo, and George Valentin.  Arnoldo is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 53 years, Divina (Olivera) Valentin, his loving sons, Arnold Valentin and his wife, Elizabeth, of Hazlet, New Jersey, and John Valentin and his wife, Marie, of Holmdel, New Jersey, along with his dear siblings, Blanche Colon and Gilbert Espino, and his cherished grandchildren, Alexandria Sanchez and her husband, Felix, Francesca Valentin, Justin Valentin, and Kendall Valentin.  Arnoldo will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Friday morning, February 23, 2018 from 8:45 to 9:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Church Service will offered on Friday morning, February 23, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. John's United Methodist Church, 1000 Florence Avenue, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  Interment will follow at Fair View Cemetery, 456 State Highway 35, Middletown, New Jersey 07701.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
