Antonio LoVerde

Antonio LoVerde, 86, of Staten Island, New York passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on July 4, 2019.  He was born on August 3, 1932  in Palermo, Sicily where he grew up. On October 3, 1957 he married the love of his life Rosa Cerrito LoVerde and they began their life together in Brooklyn, New York, where they raised there family. In 2013 they relocated to Staten Island, New York. Antonio was predeceased by his parents Michael and Catena Russo LoVerde, and his beloved wife of 60 years Rose Cerrito LoVerde.  Antonio is survived by his loving children Catherine Pontecorvo and her husband Julius of Staten Island, New York, Michael LoVerde and his wife Debra of Monmouth Beach, New Jersey, Marissa Ziegler and her husband Eric of Middletown, New Jersey, his cherished grandchildren Diana Delancy and her husband Robert, Lorena Sepsakos and her husband George, Marissa Pontecorvo, Anthony LoVerde, Michael LoVerde, Victoria Pontecorvo, Christopher LoVerde, Eric Ziegler, Nicholas Ziegler, Tianna LoVerde, James "JT" LoVerde along with his great-grandchildren Grayson Delancy, Lokah Stella LoVerde and Michael George Sepsakos.  Antonio will be sadly missed but never forgotten. Arrangement were entrusted to the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday July 7, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Monday morning from 9:45 to 10:30 AM at Scalia Home for Funerals, 28 Eltingville Boulevard, Staten Island, New York 10312. A  Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday Morning at 11:00 AM at The Church of the Holy Child, 4747 Amboy Road, Staten Island, New York 10312.
