Ann Salvia, 89, of Aberdeen, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, December 3, 2018 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey. She was born Anna Fiore on May 24, 1929 in Brooklyn, New York, where she grew up. After marriage, Ann and her husband, Joseph, settled in Brooklyn to raise their family. In 1994, she relocated to Aberdeen, New Jersey, where she remained. Ann was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. Her beloved family was the center of her life.
She was predeceased by her parents, Louis and Lucille (Romeo) Fiore, her beloved husband, Joseph Salvia, and her dear brother, Frank Fiore. Ann is survived by her loving daughters, Gladys Sandman and her husband, Neil of Hazlet, New Jersey, Lucille Dacosta and her husband, Brian of Aberdeen, New Jersey, Joanne Quinn and her husband, David of Connecticut, and Michele Maida and her husband, James of Aberdeen, New Jersey. She is also survived by her dear sister, Catherine Conigliaro, her cherished grandchildren, Kristen, Michael, Daniel, James, Jenna, Steven, Natalie, and Anna, and her adored great granddaughter, Lyla. Ann will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
In respect of Ann's wishes, she will be privately cremated. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday morning, December 7, 2018 at 9:30 AM at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 727 Highway 36, Union Beach, New Jersey 07735.
