Anita Louise McHugh

Anita Louise McHugh, 77, of Aberdeen, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey.  Anita was born on February 24, 1940 in Jersey City, New Jersey and grew up in Union City.  In 1972, Anita and her husband, Raymond, settled in Aberdeen, New Jersey to raise their family.  Before retirement, Anita worked as the Head Chef for the Monmouth County School System.

She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Raymond McHugh, her beloved son, Raymond McHugh, her cherished granddaughter, Randi Jean Engstrom, and her dear son-in-law, Brian Woods.  Anita is survived by her loving children, Peggy Sue Engstrom and her husband, John, of Pennsylvania, JoAnne Woods of Holmdel, New Jersey, Hazel Jones and her husband, Gary, of Aberdeen, New Jersey, Randy McHugh and his wife, Kim, of Matawan, New Jersey, and Daniel "Doc" McHugh and his wife, Sarah Belzer, of Aberdeen, New Jersey, her cherished grandchildren, Shawn Connolly, Ryan Engstrom, Kelly Woods, Rose Woods, Brian Woods Jr., Daniel Jones, Jessie Jones, Brooke Jones, Randy McHugh Jr., Michael McHugh, and Nicholas McHugh, and her adored great grandchildren, Presley, Payton, Avery, John, Logan, Nicholas, and Ryder.  Anita will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A graveside service and interment will take place at Fair View Cemetery, 456 State Highway/Route 35, Middletown, New Jersey 07701, Friday, January 5, 2018 at 11 AM.
