Alfred Spera

Alfred Spera, 86, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, November 13th, 2018. Alfred was born on August 30th, 1932 in Belleville and lived most of his life in the ironbound section of Newark before moving to Hazlet in 1967. Alfred was an honored veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean War. After the war, he worked as a truck driver for the Pepsi-Cola Corporation before retiring and spending time with his loving wife Linda. Alfred was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Alfred is predeceased by his parents, Patsy and Mary Spera, his brothers Daniel and Frank Spera, and his sisters Rose Spera, Josephine Vanderlind, Theresa Tillett, and Dolores DeMarco. He is survived by his beloved and caring wife Linda Spera, his dear brothers, Patsy Spera and Anthony Spera, his adoring brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joey and Amy Tangco, Aurora and Jun Suba, Fely Tangco and Ricardo Tangco, his cherished cousins Mirla and Jun Chan and Esther and Franz Colli, and many treasured nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, November 16th, 2018, from 5:00 to 9:00PM and Saturday morning, November 17th, from 8:15 to 9:00AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highwat 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey, 07730. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 9:30AM at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church located at 727 Highway 36, Union Beach, NJ, 07735. Interment will follow at approximately 11:30/11:45 AM at Holy Cross Cemetery located at 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, NJ, 07031.
