Adam T. Miyakawa

 Adam T. Miyakawa, 51, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017 after a brief illness at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel, New Jersey. He was born in Manhattan, New York to Jimmie S. Miyakawa and Hiroko A.  Azuma on February 23, 1966. Adam was raised in Matawan, New Jersey and settled in Hazlet, New Jersey in 1998. He was a Field Consultant for Kumon in Teaneck, New Jersey.  

Adam is survived by his beloved and devoted wife, of 19 years, Lisa (White) Miyakawa, his loving children, Noa and Kai Miyakawa, and his parents, Jimmie and Hiroko (Azuma) Miyakawa.  He is also survived by his brother, Matthew H. Miyakawa and his wife, Lucy, of Jackson, New Jersey, along with many extended family members, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Adam will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. 

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, October 20, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  In respect of Adam's wishes, he will be privately cremated. Memorial contributions in Adam's memory can be made to Noa and Kai Miyakawa's future education fund.
