William J. Walsh

William J. Walsh, 76, of Manchester, New Jersey, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018. William was born on December 26, 1941 in Jersey City, New Jersey, where he grew up and began raising his family. In 1977, he moved to Spring Lake Heights and in 1984, settled in Hazlet, New Jersey. William married his wife, Gloria (Flynn) Walsh, on August 16, 1997 and approximately 10 years ago they moved to Manchester, New Jersey. 

He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Emily "Dolly" (Giordano) Walsh, and his dear brothers, Michael and Peter Walsh. William is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 20 years, Gloria Jean Walsh, his loving children, Amy Casarola and her husband, Angelo, of Marlboro, New Jersey, Peter M. Walsh and his wife, Mary, of Brick, New Jersey, his adored step-children, Debra Jeffreys and her husband, Jeremy, Ted Phillips and David Phillips. William is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Elizabeth and Carol Walsh, his cherished grandchildren, Matthew Casarola, Emily Casarola, William Walsh and Marcella Walsh, and his treasured step-grandchildren, Sara Ann Jeffreys and Jeremy Jeffreys III, along with 6 more dear step-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. William will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday evening, February 1, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Friday morning, February 2, 2018 from 9:00 to 9:45 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church,165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, NJ 07733. In respect to William's wishes he will be privately cremated.
