Thomas D. Lyons

     Thomas D. Lyons, 74, of Keyport, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, September 4, 2017 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey.  Thomas was born on September 19, 1942 in Jersey City, where he grew up.  On September 7, 1974, Thomas and his wife, Marcia, were married and began their life together in Cliffwood, New Jersey.  In 1982, they settled in Keyport to raise their family.  Before retirement, Thomas worked as the Supervisor of Entenmann's Bakery in Edison, New Jersey.

     He was predeceased by his parents, Jeremiah and Margaret (McCue) Lyons, and his dear sister, Betty Kist.  Thomas is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 43 years, Marcia E. (Pietrucha) Lyons, his loving children, Thomas Lyons Jr. of Keyport, New Jersey, and Jennifer Smith and her husband, Dallas, of Millstone, New Jersey, his cherished grandchildren, Taylar and Gavin Smith, and his adoring nephew, Eddie Kist and his wife, Denise.  Thomas will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

     In respect of Thomas' wishes, he will be privately cremated.  Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Monday, September 11, 2017 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered during the memorial visitation hours.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
