       Thomas John Cribbin Sr., 84, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home on Thursday, June 9, 2016.  Thomas was born on August 6, 1931 in Jersey City, New Jersey, and grew up in Haleyville, South Jersey; until the end of seventh grade, when Thomas and his family returned to Jersey City.  He then graduated for St. Peter's Grammar School and attended and graduated St. Peter Preparatory School. On May 28, 1955, Thomas and his wife, Patricia, were married, and began their life together in Jersey City.  In 1960, they settled in Hazlet, New Jersey to raise their family.  Throughout Thomas' life, he worked as a Manager for AT&T Company; he was currently retired.  He was also a proud United States Navy Veteran, where he served during the Korean Conflict and held the rank of Electrician's Mate.  

       He was predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth (Hindle) and Thomas F. Cribbin, his siblings, Elizabeth "Betty" Kelly, and Bernard "Bernie" Cribbin, along with his brothers-in-law, Philip Arena, and Jerry Kelly, his sister-in-law, Eileen Cribbin, and his son-in-law, Kenneth Schreiber.  Thomas is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 61 years, Patricia (Davis) Cribbin; his loving children, Thomas John Cribbin Jr. and his wife, Terri, of Stanford, Connecticut, David Joseph Cribbin and his wife, Christina, of Pinellas Park, Florida, Patricia Ann Schreiber of St. Augustine, Florida, Karen Marie Fitzpatrick and her husband, John L., of Allentown, Pennsylvania, Jane E. Steinberg and her husband, Steven, of Port Reading, New Jersey, and Jeanne M. Chelston and her husband, Steven, of Beachwood, New Jersey.  Thomas is also survived by his dear siblings, Agnes Arena, and Eugene Cribbin; his cherished grandchildren, Lauren, Kenneth, Stephanie, Tommy III, Ryan, Scott, Shannon, Sara, Sean C., Taylor, Sean F., Lisa, Devon, Kelly, Caitlin, Jeff, Morgan, and Bobby; and his adored great grandchildren, Brielle, Bridget, and Mark.  He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

        Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, June 12, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM, and Monday morning, June 13, 2016 from 8:45 to 9:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3269 State Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday morning, June 13, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 727 Highway 36, Union Beach, New Jersey 07735.  Interment will follow, location of cemetery to be announced.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Thomas' memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org , or, The Visiting Nurse Association of Central New Jersey, www.vnahg.org/visiting-nurse-association-of-central-jersey.aspx  , would be greatly appreciated.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
