Theresa (Crocco) Mongiello

     Theresa Mongiello,90, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey.  She was born Theresa Crocco on May 9, 1926 in Nutley, New Jersey, where she grew up.  In 1957, Theresa and her husband, Bart, settled in Hazlet, New Jersey to raise their family.  While living in Hazlet, Theresa worked for Bayshore Community Hospital as a Telephone Operator and was also a member of their activities committee; she retired from Bayshore in 1994.  Theresa was also the past President of the National Turners Association in Irvington, New Jersey, and the Past President of the Middle Road Village Senior's Club.

     She was predeceased by her parents, Carmen and Elizabeth (Tuscano) Crocco, her beloved husband, Bart Mongiello, her dear brothers and sister, Joseph Crocco, Carmen Crocco, James Crocco, and Linda Nixon, her niece, Patti Ann Crocco-Gardner, and her nephews, Robert McCormick and Ricky Nixon.  Theresa is survived by her loving children, Theresa Smith and her husband, James, of Hazlet, New Jersey, and Bart Mongiello and his wife, Pam, of Canadensis, Pennsylvania, and her dear sisters, Marie McCormack of Texas, and Betty Morrone of Nutley, New Jersey.  She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Bart Mongiello, Kaitlyn Smith, James Smith III, Jason Smith, Sarah Mongiello, and Karlee Mongiello, and her adored great grandchildren, Ashley and Hailey Witzak, along with one great-great granddaughter on the way, and many special nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family and friends.  Theresa will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

     Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM and Friday morning, March 17, 2017 from 8:45 to 9:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday morning, March 17, 2017 at 10:15 AM at The Catholic Church of St. Ann, 311 Carr Avenue, Keansburg, New Jersey 07734.  Entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum, 900 Holmdel Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
