Tair P. Chen

Tair P. Chen, 68, of Holmdel, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 1, 2017 at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey.  Tair was born on August 5, 1949 in Taipei, Taiwan, where she grew up.  In 1973 in her early 20's, she relocated to the United States and started her life in Columbus, Ohio.  On November 19, 1974, Tair and her husband, Cheng, were married and began their life together.  In 1978, they moved to Marlboro, New Jersey, and in 1997, ultimately settled in Holmdel, New Jersey.  For many years, Tair worked for Lucent Technologies in Holmdel as a Software Engineer.  She was currently retired.

She was predeceased by her father, Don Lin.  Tair is survived by her adoring mother, Huan Lan Lin, her beloved and devoted husband of 43 years, Cheng Chen, her loving daughters, Jane Chen of Los Angeles, California and Christina Audrey Chen and her husband, Adam Christopher Lack, of Chicago, Illinois, along with her dear siblings, Terry Chan and her husband, Barry, of Sydney Australia, Gong Kiel and her husband, Bill, of Canada, Chung Lin and his wife, Helen, of Sydney, Australia, and Shinn Lin and his wife, Jane, of Sydney, Australia.  Tair will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Tair's family will hold a private viewing on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. They will host a memorial service for friends and loved ones at a later date, soon to be determined.  In respect of her family's wishes, Tair will be privately cremated.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
