Stephanie Diane Hager Steines

      Something no mother ever wants to do...write her child's obituary.  Stephanie, my love, my beautiful daughter.  As she was to me, her beloved daughter, Sadie Rae, was to her...the light of her life, her joy, the reason she got up every day and worked to make her life better; to give Sadie all the love a mother can give to her child.  We will miss her, always. 

      Born on May 2, 1970, Steph spent most of her early life in Wall Township, and is a graduate of Wall High School.  She was the Manager of the Division of Nursing at Bloomfield College, where she was a friend to the many students she advised and helped through their challenging program. While working at the College full-time, Steph matriculated and graduated in 2003 with a degree in Criminal Justice.  She and her husband, Billy Steines, celebrated their thirteenth wedding anniversary this past November.  Along with Sadie and Billy, Steph leaves a multitude of cousins, extended family members and friends who loved her dearly and deeply.  Brothers, Chris and Brendan Hager, best friend and sister-in-law, Rachel Hager, beloved god-daughter, Robyn Elizabeth Hager, niece, Alison Hager, and nephew, John Hager; Aunt Joanne and Uncle Juan Sabates, uncles, Bob and Joe Farina, Aunt Nancy Hager Weaver, first cousins, Nalani Farina, Pilar and Carlos Sabates, Donnie, Beth, Andrew and Susannah Weaver, sisters-in-law, Anne Marie Steines and Darlene Pointdextor, brother-in-law, Tom Steines, niece, Nicolette Steines and nephew, Kyle Steines.  She will also be sorely missed by her father-in-law, Edmund Steines, loving step-father, Dave Reilly, and me, her mom, Lois Reilly. Steph was predeceased by her treasured and much adored pet, Sabu, her faithful companion for many years. She left her mark on all of our lives. We will never forget her. We will always think of her with love and with gratitude for the years we shared with her. Rest in peace, my daughter, my blue-eyed girl.

      Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered for Stephanie during Sunday's visitation hours.  In respect of her family's wishes, she will be privately cremated.  In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Steph, toward Sadie Rae's future and college education, would be greatly appreciated.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
