My heart sink this morning as I read in today's newspaper that Ryan had passed. He was so young and had such a beautiful soul. I met him this past January as a patient in the cardiac unit. His smile lit up the room and his personality was infectious! We connected with our mutual love of dogs and shared pictures of our fur babies. He made my stay at JSUMC an easier one because of his compassion and gentleness. My heart goes out to his family. Rest in peace Ryan, the world is a sadder place without you.
