Michael G. Murphy

Michael G. Murphy, 52, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away suddenly at home  on Friday, December 15, 2017.  Michael was born on May 7, 1965 in Red Bank, New Jersey.  He was raised and lived in Hazlet his entire life.  He worked as a car inspector for the New York Transit Authority. 

He was predeceased by his father, Charles E. Murphy. Michael is survived by his devoted mother, Anna M. (Braun) Murphy, his loving fiance Anna M. Swietnicki, his dear siblings, Daniel P. Murphy and his wife Bettina of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Colleen P. Raab and her husband Stephen of Howell, New Jersey and Maureen A. Broderick and her husband John of Hazlet, New Jersey.   Michael is also survived by many treasured nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.  Michael will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

In respect of Michael's' wishes, he will be privately cremated.  Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital at www.stjude.org.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
