Mary DeLeo, 96, of Lincroft, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 8, 2018 at Meridian at Shrewsbury. She was born Mary DiGiuseppe on December 25, 1921 in Brooklyn, New York, where she grew up and raised her family. For many years, Mary worked as a seamstress, and later in life, also worked as a Teacher's Aid for the New York City Board of Education before retirement. She was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Filomena (Principe) DiGiuseppe, her first husband, Vincent DeVincenzo, her second husband, August DeLeo, her brother, Louis DiGiuseppe, and her sister, Edith Mirenda. Mary is survived by her loving children, Anthony DeVincenzo and his wife, Vera, of Riverhead, New York, Paula Caprio and her husband Vincent, of Lincroft, New Jersey, and Frank DeVincenzo and his wife, Erin, of Old Bridge, New Jersey, along with her cherished grandchildren, Joseph, Adam, Andrea, Jamie, Anthony, Paul, Alexandra, and Daniel, and her adored great grandchildren, Isabella, Vincent, Joseph, Bennett, Greyson, and Lila. Mary will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, February 12, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Tuesday morning, February 13, 2018 from 8:45 to 9:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday morning, February 13, 2018 at 10:15 AM at St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church, 50 Hurley's Lane, Lincroft, New Jersey 07738. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, 80-01 Metropolitan Avenue, Middle Village, New York. In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Mary to "Coffee For A Cause", a program that Mary founded, with her sister, Edith, at the Lincroft Pavilion would be greatly appreciated.
