Mary A. Carroll

     Mary A. Carroll, 85, of Middletown (Belford), New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 14, 2017 at Care One-King James in Atlantic Highlands.  Mary was born on January 14, 1932 in Brooklyn, New York, where she grew up and met her husband, William.  After marriage, they began their life together in Brooklyn, where they also raised their family.  In 1982, Mary retired to Monticello, New York, and in 2007, settled in Belford, New Jersey.  While living in Brooklyn, Mary worked as an Executive Secretary for Nauch, Hogan, and Murray Financial Insurance Company for many years.  She was predeceased by her parents, Martin and Ruth (Conklin) Carroll, her beloved husband, William M. Carroll, and her dear brother, Martin Carroll.  Mary is survived by her loving children, Mary M. Bratton and her husband, Sheldon, of Brooklyn, New York, Eileen F. Hansen of Maybrook, New York, and Stephen W. Carroll and his wife, Trina, of Belford, New Jersey, along with her cherished grandchildren, Jason Hansen, Lyle Bratton, Cristin Hansen, B.K. Hansen, John Carroll, Thomas Carroll and Christopher Carroll, and her adored great grandchild, DJ.  She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

    In respect of Mary's wishes, she will be privately cremated.  Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday morning, January 21, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Mary Mother of God Church, 19 Cherry Tree Farm Road, Middletown, New Jersey 07748.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
