Margaret "Peggy" (Kenny) Ventura

    Margaret M. Ventura, fondly known as "Peggy", 65, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday morning, July 31, 2017.  She was born Margaret M. Kenny on October 12, 1951 in Jersey City, New Jersey, where she grew up.  On May 29, 1971, Peggy and her husband, Elia, were married and began their lives together in Jersey City.  About nine years later, they moved to Bayonne, New Jersey, and in 1985, they settled in Hazlet, New Jersey to raise their family. 

    She was predeceased by her parents, William and Margaret (Fox) Kenny, her brothers, Francis Kenny and his wife, Lillian, William Kenny and his wife, MaryLou, and Robert Kenny, her sister, Patricia Kenny, and her brother-in-law, Michael Morello.  Peggy is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 46 years, Elia Ventura, and her loving children, Michael Ventura and his wife, Susan, of Hazlet, New Jersey, Eric Ventura and his wife, Laurie, of Keyport, New Jersey, and Lisa Ventura.  Peggy is also survived by her dear sister, Maureen Morello, her adoring mother-in-law, Vittoria Ventura, her sister-in-law, JulieAnn Kenny, and her cherished grandchildren, Eric James, Andrew, Alex, Luke, Eli, and Mila Ventura.  She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

     Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Thursday morning, August 3, 2017 from 8:45 to 9:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday morning, August 3, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.  Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, New Jersey 07031.  In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Peggy to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org/donate, would be greatly appreciated.For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
