Louis Castellano

Louis Castellano, 80, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey.  Louis was born on March 7, 1937 in Newark, New Jersey, where he grew up and lived for the majority of his life.  In 2000, he settled in Hazlet, New Jersey.  Before retirement, Louis worked for General Motors in their Parts Department for many years.  One of Louis' favorite hobbies was fishing.  He also loved spending time at Belmar Beach and Atlantic City, and was an avid Miami Dolphins fan.

He was predeceased by his parents, Helen (Mercogliano) and Vincenzo Castellano and his dear siblings, Nicholas Castellano and Marie Jekonski.  Louis is survived by his loving brother, Anthony Castellano and his wife, Marilyn, his brother-in-law, John Jekonski, his sister-in-law, Catherine Castellano, and his cherished God-daughter, Helen Castellano.  Louis is also survived by his children, many adored  nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.  Louis will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon during visitation hours.  In respect of Louis' wishes, he will be privately cremated.
