Lorraine M. (Rush) Brown

        Lorraine M. Brown, 74, of Keansburg, New Jersey passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey.  She was born Lorraine M. Rush on November 28, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York. She was raised in Brooklyn, New York and in 1956, she and her family moved to Holmdel, New Jersey.  In 1963, Lorraine moved to Keansburg, New Jersey.  Recently, she had been residing with her daughter in Hazlet, New Jersey.  Before retiring, she worked as a secretary at Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, New Jersey for 27 years. Lorraine loved to be around her family and friends, and when she was, she was always the life of the party.  

        She was predeceased by her parents, William and Janet (Hayes) Rush, her brother, James Rush, and her beloved husband, Donald Brown.  Lorraine is survived by her loving children, Ann Marie Kenavan-Best and her husband, Joseph, of Hazlet, New Jersey, Thomas White of Maine, Daniel Kenavan of West Windsor, New Jersey, Patricia Kenavan-Lentze of Jackson, New Jersey, her 10 cherished grandchildren, Lauren and her husband, Randy, Lindsay, Erin, Tyler, Ethan, Drew, Brendan, Cameron, Jaedyn, and Chase, along with her 2 adored great grandchildren, Shealyn and Kenley.  Also surviving Lorraine are many other extended family members and wonderful friends. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

        Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, and Friday morning, December 2, 2016 from 8:15 to 9:00 AM, at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday morning, December 2, 2016 at 9:30 AM, at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, 311 Carr Avenue, Keansburg, New Jersey 07734.
