Linda A. (Freda) Koval

Linda A. Koval, 69, of Keansburg, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey.  She was born Linda Freda on October 2, 1948 in Newark, New Jersey, where she grew up.  In 1980, Linda and her husband, John, moved to Iselin, New Jersey and in 1996, relocated to Toms River.  Ultimately in 2016, she settled in Keansburg.  Linda was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Harris Gardens Fire Company, as well as the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, both located in Union Beach.  She loved visiting Atlantic City and above all else, adored spending time with her cherished granddaughter, Savanna.

She was predeceased by her parents, Carmen and Grace (Nannarello) Freda, her devoted husband, John Koval, and her sister, Denise Maddock.  Linda is survived by her loving daughters, Sandra G. Steimel and her husband, Tommy, of Keansburg, New Jersey, and Stacy L. Martin and her husband William of Milltown, New Jersey, her beloved companion, Marshall Lovelace, her dear siblings, William Ward and his wife, Betty, of Florida, Trudine Freda of Hazlet, New Jersey, and Gerald Freda and his wife, Linda of Pennsylvania, and her cherished granddaughter, Savanna Martin.  Linda is also survived by her brother in law, John Maddock, as well as many treasured nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Thursday morning, February 15, 2018 from 8:00 to 8:45 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday morning, February 15, 2018 at 9:15 AM at The Catholic Church of St. Ann, 311 Carr Avenue, Keansburg, New Jersey 07734.  Entombment will follow at Fair View Cemetery Mausoleum, 456 State Highway 35, Middletown, New Jersey 07701.  In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Linda to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would be greatly appreciated.  To donate, please visit, www.stjude.org.
