Leonore P. (Pettingill) Hallett

    Leonore P. Hallett, 87, of Union Beach, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey.  She was born Leonore A. Pettingill on December 18, 1929 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and grew up in Jersey City, New Jersey.  Leonore raised her family in upstate New York and from 1974 to 2006, she relocated to North Carolina, before settling in Union Beach, New Jersey.  Before her retirement, Leonore worked in the accounting department for Hunter Douglas manufacturing company.  

     She was predeceased by her parents, Earle and Ada (Hess) Pettingill, her beloved husband, Wesley Hallett, her brother-in-law, Louis Manfredi, and her nieces, Debbie Wasylak and Cheryl Williams.  Leonore is survived by her loving children, Keith "Kip" Said of New York City, and his husband, Robert Chan, of San Francisco, California, and Karyn L. Sochacki and her husband, John Seth Sochacki III, of Union Beach, New Jersey, her dear step-son, Jeff Hallett, and her cherished grandsons, John Keith Sochacki and Cristofer Sochacki.  Leonore is also survived by her adoring sisters, Marion Hughes, Ada Williams, and Mildred Manfredi, and her treasured nieces and nephews, Robert James, Lorraine and Jim Maillet, John Williams, Ada Manfredi, Lou Manfredi and Bill Christie.  She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
