Lena (Di Michele) Testagrose

Lena Testagrose, 93, of Brooklyn, New York, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the Reformed Church Home in Old Bridge, New Jersey.  She was born Maria Pasqualena Di Michele on August 22, 1924 in Brooklyn, New York, where she grew up.  After marriage, Lena and her husband, Francis, remained in Brooklyn to raise their family.  She was predeceased by her parents, Antonio and Donato (Capano) Di Michele and her beloved husband, Francis Testagrose.  Lena is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann Testagrose of Manalapan, New Jersey, and Linda Spallina and her husband, Joseph, of Hazlet, New Jersey, her dear siblings, Mary Ortega and her husband, Louis, of Florida, and Dominick Di Michele and his wife, Mary, of Pennsylvania, her sister-in-law, Jeanette Di Michele, her cherished grandchildren, Frank DeVito and his wife, Thea, of Marlboro, New Jersey, Louis DeVito of Manalapan, New Jersey, Joseph Spallina and his wife, Stacey, of Tinton Falls, New Jersey, and Christopher Spallina of Hazlet, New Jersey, and her adored great grandchildren, Sabrina DeVito, Frankie DeVito, Joseph Spallina Jr., and Elizabeth Spallina.  Lena will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM and Wednesday morning, February 7, 2018 from 8:30 to 9:15 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday morning, February 7, 2018 at 11:15 AM at St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church,  2055 East 69th Street, Brooklyn, New York 11234.  Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, 80-01 Metropolitan Avenue, Middle Village, New York.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
