Joanne Elizabeth (Causey) Vaccarella

Joanne Elizabeth Vaccarella, fondly known as "Betty" 85, of Freehold, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, June 19, 2017 at her daughter's home in Aberdeen, New Jersey. She was born Joanne Elizabeth Causey on October 8,1931 in Passaic, New Jersey, she grew up in Maywood, New Jersey and started her life after getting married in Hackensack, New Jersey. Joanne moved to Long Island with her family and lived there for 5 years, before settling in Aberdeen in 1971. Joanne worked as a Purchasing Agent for Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital for 25 years before her retirement. 

    She was predeceased by her parents, Marion Oscar Causey and his wife, Mary Ellen (Swift) Causey, her beloved husband, Romeo Vaccarella, and her sister, Marilyn Kelkuski. Joanne is survived by her loving children, Michael Paul Vaccarella and his wife, Melissa of Lodi, New Jersey, Maryellen Mastrobattista of East Coventry, PA., Patricia Lloyd and her husband, Jeffrey of Aberdeen, New Jersey; her dear sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Frances Minella, Benjamin Vaccarella and his wife, Marion, Carl Vaccarella and his wife, Heidi and John  Paoella and his wife, Lisa. Joanne is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Andrew Mastrobattista and his wife, Megan, Nicholas Mastrobattista, Rebecca Mastrobattista, Amanda Lloyd, Emily Mastrobattista and Jennifer Lloyd. Joanne also leaves behind 4 adoring great grandchildren. Joanne will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

    Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM, and Thursday morning, June 22, 2017 from 8:30 to 9:15 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday morning, June 22, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.  In respect of her wishes, Joanne will be privately cremated.    For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
