Joan Esposito
August 17, 1934 ~ April 13, 2016 (age 81) 81 Years OldJoan Esposito, 81, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2016 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel. She was born Joan Bartnik on August 17, 1934 in Jersey City ,New Jersey, where she grew up. After marriage, Joan and her husband, Antonio, settled in Hazlet, New Jersey to raise their family. Before retirement, Joan worked for Lily Tulip Company for over 20 years, and after receiving her associates degree, went on to work for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and as an Insurance Agent. She was a parishioner of Holy Family Church in Union Beach, New Jersey, and also a member of the Hazlet VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #4303, a member of the American Legion Post #321 in Union Beach, and a life-time member of the Deborah Foundation. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Viola (Toffel) Bartnik, and her beloved husband, Antonio "Tony" "Espo" Esposito. Joan is survived by her loving children, Marie Esposito Cairns and her husband, Gregory, of Newton, North Carolina, and John Anthony Esposito of Hazlet, New Jersey, her cherished grandchildren, Danielle Marie Cairns, Gregory Joseph Cairns, and Anthony William Cairns, along with her adored great granddaughter, Arabella Rowe, and many special nieces and nephews, especially Constance and Edward Velasquez. She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, April 17, 2016 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM, and Monday morning, April 18, 2016 from 8:45 to 9:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3269 State Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday morning, April 18, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 727 Highway 36, Union Beach, New Jersey 07735. Entombment will follow at Green Grove Cemetery in Keyport, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joan to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org , would be greatly appreciated.
