Welcome to the memorial page for

Jack Bailey Clarence Dowd

January 26, 2001 ~ September 17, 2017 (age 16) 16 Years Old

Jack Bailey Clarence Dowd, 16, of Holmdel, New Jersey, passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 17, 2017.  Jack was born January 26, 2001 in Manhattan, New York and was raised in Holmdel, New Jersey.  He was a student at Holmdel High School in his Junior year.  Jack was an amazing, smart, talented, athletic, and funny son, big brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend.  He had a beautiful smile that could light up any room, and could somehow turn any bad situation into something positive and funny.  Jack had a wonderful sense of humor.  He was always very warm and affectionate with all of his family and friends, and would never turn down a good hug from those that he loved.  One of Jack's favorite hobbies was working out and lifting weights, and he lived an extremely healthy lifestyle, which he worked very hard for on a daily basis.  Throughout his High School career, Jack played on the football and lacrosse teams, and was previously a member of the track team.  In his spare time, he enjoyed "shooting hoops" with his little brother Casey.  Jack has left an indelible mark on us all and we will miss him dearly, but cherish and remember him forever.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Clarence and Regina (Hendrickson) Dowd, and John Fernandes.  Jack is survived by his beloved parents, Sean T. Dowd and Rosalina Fernandes, his dear brother, Casey Logan John Dowd, his adoring grandmother, Esther Fernandes, his loving aunts and uncles, Donna Dowd, Brian Dowd and his wife, Jeanne, Kevin Dowd, Kelly Dowd and his wife, Lisa, Regan Dowd and his wife, Cheryl, Erin Dowd-McWhirter and her husband, Russell, Doreen Gerba and her husband, Scott, Peggy Hoffman and her husband, Gary, Darren Dowd and his wife, Luisa, Kenny Fernandes and his wife, Mayra, and Karolyn Fernandes and her husband, David Daniel, along with 19 adored cousins and 4 cherished second cousins.  Jack will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 12:00 to 3:00 and 5:00 to 9:00 PM at St. Catharine's Roman Catholic Church, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday morning, September 22, 2017 at 10:30 AM at St. Catharine's Roman Catholic Church in Holmdel.  A celebration of Jack's life will continue after the Mass of Christian Burial at the Father Scheg Center at St. Catharine's Church.     Arrangements were entrusted to the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. In respect of his family's wishes, Jack will be privately cremated.  For information, directions or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
