Ida D. (DeCicco) Mikulski

                Ida D. Mikulski, 86, of Whiting, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, April 6, 2016, at Community Medical Center in Toms River, New Jersey.  She was born Ida DeCicco on April 7, 1929 in Jersey City, New Jersey, where she grew up.  In 1962, she and her husband, Chester, settled in Bayonne, New Jersey, where they raised their family.  In 1995, Ida ultimately settled in Whiting, New Jersey.  For many years, Ida worked as a clerical secretary for the United States Army Terminal in Bayonne, New Jersey; she was currently retired.  She was predeceased by her parents, Salvatore and Caroline (Simone) DeCicco, her beloved husband, Chester Mikulski, and her siblings, Antoinette DeCicco, Frank DeCicco, Salvatore DeCicco, and Jennie Slaton.  Ida is survived by her loving daughter, Pamela Rose and her husband, John, of Hazlet, New Jersey, her dear sister, Anna Tierney of Whiting, New Jersey, her cherished grandchildren, Alana Rose and Mackenzie Rose, and many adored nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

               Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Saturday morning, April 9, 2016 from 10:45 to 11:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3269 State Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 12:00 noon at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.  In respect of Ida's wishes, she will be privately cremated.  In lieu of flowers, donation in loving memory of Ida to the American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org/donate, would be greatly appreciated.  For information, directions or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
