Geraldine M. (Gromback) Engelhardt

        Geraldine M. Engelhardt, 84, of Keyport, New Jersey passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Madison Center in Matawan, New Jersey. She was born Geraldine M. Gromback on December 25, 1931 in Newark, New Jersey and grew up in West Creek, New Jersey.  Geraldine married her husband, Frank Engelhardt, and together they settled in Union Beach, New Jersey to raise their family.  Later in life, they retired to Florida, and in recent years moved back to Keyport, New Jersey.

        She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Dorothy, her sister, Janice, her brother, Butchie, and her granddaughter, Andrea. Geraldine is survived by her beloved husband, Frank, her loving children, Jennifer and her husband, Michael, of Keyport, New Jersey, Frank of Keyport, New Jersey, and Charles and his wife, Brenda, of Elwood, Indiana; her dear sister, Dorothy; her cherished grandchildren, Charles, Jordan, and Brittany; along with her adored great grandchildren, Skyla, James, and Brooklyn. She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

        In respect of Geraldine's wishes, she will be privately cremated. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3269 State Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home during visiting hours on Thursday.  In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Geraldine to Madison Center, 625 State Highway 34, Matawan, New Jersey 07747, would be greatly appreciated.
