Garrett Anthony Izzo

     Garrett Anthony Izzo, 65, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, New Jersey.  Garrett was born on September 8, 1951 in Brooklyn, New York, where he grew up.  Before retirement, Garrett worked as a Manager for National Grid in Brooklyn for 38 years.  He was also a proud United States Veteran of the Army Reserve.  He was predeceased by his parents, Mary (Castellano) and Pasquale Izzo.  Garret is survived by his beloved wife, Laura (Monahan) Izzo, his loving daughters, Gina Izzo and her boyfriend, Michael Killeen, of Hazlet, New Jersey, and Nicole Aker and her husband, Joe, of Middletown, New Jersey, his dear brother, Robert Izzo and his wife, Carol, of Howell, New Jersey, along with his cherished grandsons, Nicholas Kadoo, Joseph and Dylan Aker, and his adored nieces and nephew, Denise Izzo, MaryAnn Adami, Jeanine Blaes, and Robert Izzo.  He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

     Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Wednesday morning, February 8, 2017 from 9:30 to 10:15 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/ Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday morning, February 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 727 Highway 36, Union Beach, New Jersey 07735.  In respect of Garrett's wishes, he will be privately cremated.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
