Filomena C. D'Aleo, 92, fondly known as "Fanny", of Holmdel, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, November 5, 2017. She was born Filomena C. Anguillo, on October 12, 1925, in the little Italy section of Manhattan, New York, where she grew up. After marriage, Filomena and her husband, Bernard moved to Queens Village and started their family. In 1979, they moved to Kinnelon, New Jersey before settling , Cheesequake Village in Matawan, New Jersey 10 years ago.
She was predeceased by her parents, Dominic and Clementina (DeVenuto) Anguillo, her beloved and devoted husband, Bernard D'Aleo, her cherished son, Christopher D'Aleo and her siblings, Camille, Jeanette, Lawrence and Rocco. Filomena is survived by her loving son, Bernard L. D'Aleo and his wife, Pamela of Holmdel, New Jersey, her dear sister, Marie Primavera of Staten Island, New York, along with her 8 cherished grandchildren and 4 adored great-grandchildren. Filomena will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Thursday morning, November 9, 2017 from 8:00 to 8:45 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday morning, November 9, 2017 at 9:15 AM at St. Catharine's Roman Catholic Church,108 Middletown Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum, 900 Holmdel Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.
