Edward Composto, 68, of Old Bridge, New Jersey, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017 surrounded by his girls. Edward was born on July 6, 1949 in Staten Island, New York, where he grew up. In 2000 he moved to Manalapan, New Jersey and in 2006 he relocated to Plaza Grande in Old Bridge, New Jersey where he resided. Edward was a proud United States Air Force Veteran. Before retirement, he worked as a plumbing foreman for Almar Plumbing for 37 years. He was an avid golfer, loved to play his guitar and curse out the Yankees. But most of all, he loved being with his family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Helen (Mezzano) Composto, his loving daughters, Krista Fischer and her husband Michael of Staten Island, New York, Melissa Composto of Brooklyn, New York, Jessica Ade and her husband Steve of Concord, North Carolina, and Laura Composto of Staten Island, New York, his dear siblings, Bobby Composto and his wife Kathy, Richard Composto and his wife Amanda, Thomas Composto, Helen Farley, Margaret Wessels, and Dorothy Miranda. Edward is survived by his cherished grandchildren, Nicholas, Christopher and Natalie Fischer, Clare and Ryan Sullivan. Edward will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and Thursday morning November 30, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday morning, November 30, 2017 at 10:30 AM at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, 83 Throckmorton Lane, Old Bridge, New Jersey 08857. In respect to Edward's wishes, he will be privately cremated. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations in Edward's loving memory to Hackensack Meridian Hospice.
